Privacy Policy: MPG ONE Chrome Extensions
How the MPG ONE Chrome extensions Internal Link Finder, AI Visibility Checker, Content Gap Finder and AI Search Report handle your data.
Effective date: October 23, 2026
This policy covers four Chrome extensions published by MPG ONE:
- Internal Link Finder – MPG ONE uses AI to suggest internal links for blog posts.
- AI Visibility Checker – MPG ONE shows how much of a web page AI crawlers can read.
- Content Gap Finder – MPG ONE compares your website with competitor websites and lists the topics you haven’t covered.
- AI Search Report for Search Console – MPG ONE builds a report from your Google Search Console data on how often Google’s AI features show your pages.
It explains what data each one handles, where it goes and what is kept.
The short version
- None of the extensions asks for your name, email or any account.
- They read a page only when you click the extension’s icon or a button in it.
- AI Visibility Checker sends nothing to our servers. Everything happens in your browser.
- Internal Link Finder and Content Gap Finder send page text to our server only to be processed by AI, then return the result. We don’t store that content.
- Internal Link Finder and Content Gap Finder keep a random install ID and daily usage counts for 7 days to enforce free limits.
- AI Search Report keeps your Search Console data in your browser. It sends our server only a random install ID, to count your free reports, and your license key if you enter one.
- We don’t sell your data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.
AI Visibility Checker
- What it reads. When you click the extension icon, it reads the page in the current tab: its visible text, headings, links, title, meta tags and structured data.
- What it downloads. To see the page the way an AI crawler does, it downloads the same page, the site’s
robots.txtand itsllms.txtdirectly from that website, without your cookies. These requests go only to the website you’re checking, not to us. - Where the results go. Nowhere. The comparison runs in your browser and the report is gone when you close it. Nothing is sent to MPG ONE or anyone else, and nothing is saved.
- Highlight on page. If you click it, the extension outlines text on that page until you clear the highlights or reload the page.
- PageCue link. “Check citations with PageCue” is an ordinary link to pagecue.mpgone.com that includes the site’s domain name. Nothing is sent unless you click it.
- Permissions. It uses Chrome’s
activeTabandscriptingpermissions, so it can access only the tab you clicked it on, and only at that moment. It has no access to your other tabs, your browsing history or any site in the background.
Internal Link Finder
- Your site scan. When you click Scan, the extension reads your site’s
robots.txt, sitemap and pages in your browser. For each page it sends the page address and a short summary (title, meta description, headings and the opening text) to our server, which turns it into numbers (“embeddings”) used to compare topics. The results are saved only in your browser (IndexedDB). - The post you analyze. When you click Analyze this page, the extension reads the paragraphs of the post in the current tab (or the text you selected) and sends them to our server, along with the titles and addresses of your matching pages, so the AI can suggest links and anchor text.
- Permissions. The extension asks for access to your site when you scan it. It asks for access to other sites only if you click Analyze on a site it can’t read yet, such as an editor on another domain.
Content Gap Finder
- The sites you enter. When you click Find content gaps, the extension asks for access to the sites you typed in: your site and up to three competitors. It reads their sitemaps and pages in your browser, without your cookies. It doesn’t read any other site.
- What it sends to our server. For each page, its address and a short summary (title, meta description and headings), which our server turns into embeddings used to compare topics. Then the titles of competitor pages, with the titles and descriptions of your closest pages, so the AI can group the pages by subject, judge whether your site covers each subject and suggest a page title.
- What stays in your browser. The page summaries, embeddings and your results are saved only in your browser (IndexedDB), so later checks only read new or changed pages.
- “Add this tab’s site”. This button reads the address of the current tab, only when you click it, to add that site to your competitor list.
- PageCue links. The PageCue links are ordinary links to pagecue.mpgone.com that include your domain name and, for a topic link, the topic’s name. Nothing is sent unless you click one.
AI Search Report for Search Console
- What it reads. When you click Create report while your site is open in Google Search Console, the extension opens that site’s AI report and Performance report in a background tab, signed in as you, and reads the report data those pages contain: page addresses, impressions, clicks, click-through rate, position, countries and devices for the date range you picked, and the same for the previous period. It closes the tab when it’s done. It doesn’t read other parts of your Google account, including the list of other sites in it.
- Where that data goes. Nowhere. The report is built and saved in your browser (IndexedDB). Your Search Console data is never sent to MPG ONE or anyone else. You can delete saved reports by removing the extension.
- What it sends to our server. When you create a report, your install ID, so we can count your free reports. If you enter a license key, the key, so we can check that it’s active.
- Licenses and payment. Licenses are sold through Creem (creem.io), which handles payment as merchant of record under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details. Creem shares the buyer’s email address and order details with us so we can support your purchase. To activate your key and re-check it every few days, our server sends Creem the key and a short label for your install.
- PageCue link. “Check citations with PageCue” is an ordinary link to pagecue.mpgone.com that includes your site’s domain name. Nothing is sent unless you click it.
- Permissions. Access to
search.google.comis used only to open and read the Search Console reports for the site you have open, when you click Create report.
Our server
Where your content goes (Internal Link Finder and Content Gap Finder)
Our server runs on Cloudflare Workers. The AI models (Google’s Gemma and BAAI’s bge-m3) run on Cloudflare Workers AI, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. as our service provider (Cloudflare’s privacy policy). Requests pass through Cloudflare AI Gateway with request logging turned off.
Your content is used only to produce the results you asked for and is not stored by us after the response is sent.
What we store
On our server:
- A random install ID created by the extension (not linked to your identity).
- Daily usage counts (for example, “3 analyses today”).
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used only so that reinstalling an extension doesn’t reset the free daily limit. The hash can’t be turned back into your IP address.
- Your license key, if you enter one, to check whether it’s active.
- For AI Search Report, how many free reports an install ID and an IP hash have used.
Daily usage counts and their hashes are deleted after 7 days. AI Search Report’s free-report counts are kept, so that reinstalling the extension doesn’t reset them. They contain no Search Console data, and we’ll delete them if you ask. Short technical error logs (error codes and token counts, never your content) are kept by Cloudflare for a few days.
In your browser only: the sites you entered, your page index or results, your saved AI Search Report reports, your settings, your install ID and your license key. You can delete all of this by removing the extension.
What we don’t do
- The extensions don’t collect names, email addresses, passwords, payment details or browsing history. (If you buy a license, Creem handles the payment as described above.)
- We don’t read any page unless you click the extension’s icon or a button in it.
- We don’t sell or share your data with third parties, except Cloudflare and, for licenses, Creem, as described above.
- We don’t use your data for advertising, credit decisions or AI training.
The use of information received by these extensions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children
These extensions are not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change how an extension handles data, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
